TIPESHWAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

EXPLORE TIPESHWAR

Where the jungle rules

The forested basalt hills of the Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary are a biodiversity hotspot in western India. This 148.63 sq.km deciduous forest is nestled between Maharashtra & Telangana, falling within the larger Tadoba Tiger reserve biosphere.

While it is the chance to see the Royal Bengal Tiger that draws travellers in the know here every season, the sanctuary is home to a plethora of mammals like Pangolin, Sloth bear, Nilgai and over 180 species of birds, 26 species of reptiles and 97 species of butterflies. Four rivers meander through this landscape: Purna, Krishna, Bhima and Tapti. Scenic waterfalls make for wonderful picnic spots.

Safari with Tipai

Sojourn in the wild in our private gypsies geared for comfort, safety and 360° views. We have designed our vehicles for wildlife photographers and their precious gear. Led by naturalists who know the park like the back of their hands, a Tipai safari is bespoke. With almost the entire park open for safari, fewer tourists and no zoning system, our naturalists map out routes based on guests’ interests — be it a particular avian species, a seasonal damselfly, or the new leopard cub that everyone is talking about. Equipped with Solognac 8×42 binoculars and the wisdom of our drivers, guards, and naturalists, the Tipai Safari is an experience for all the senses, rounded off with a gourmet picnic in the wild.

TIMINGS: MORNING: 6:00 AM TO 10:00 AM / EVENING: 2:30 PM TO 6:30 PM
